Pastor Lowell

Lowell Nelson, Pastor

Pastor Lowell Nelson was born and raised in Nebraska, graduating from High School in West Point. His education has also included a BA from Augustana College, Rock Island, Illinois; a MBA from the University of Arizona, Tucson; and a MSW from Arizona State University, Tempe. Prior to his call to ordained ministry in 2007, Pastor Lowell spent 12+ years working for Immanuel Health Systems in Omaha. Pastor Lowell completed the TEEM (Theological Education for Emerging Ministries) program through Pacific Lutheran and Luther Seminaries. He served as Vicar at Bethany Lutheran Church in Elkhorn, Nebraska for three and a half years. He was ordained at Bethany on April 10, 2011 after he was called to be Pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church beginning April 25, 2011. Pastor Lowell and his wife, Debbie, have three children: Andrew, Jordan, and Joe.

Judy Woods

Judy Woods, Secretary

Judy Woods is our church secretary at Immanuel. She is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Omaha and began working here in June of 1993. She and her husband, Jerry, and their three sons, Brian, Monte, and Joel have been members of Immanuel since 1977. Joel and his wife, Amy, who became a member of Immanuel in 2003, and their children; Colin, Anna, and Madeline, together with the most recently added grandchild, Ava, daughter of Brian and his wife, Jacquie, complete the Woods' family.

Priscilla Fuger
Priscilla

Priscilla Fuger, Director of Christian Education

Priscilla Fuger and her husband Matt began attending Immanuel in August 2009, after moving to Nebraska from Ramstein Air Base, Germany. She is originally from Dixon, Illinois and has a Bachelor of Science in Technical Communication from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. While at Ramstein, she served as the Religious Education Coordinator and co-taught confirmation with Matt. Since joining Immanuel, Priscilla has been involved with The Connection, co-directed VBS, and sung with various musical groups. It is a blessing and a joy to be a part of the Immanuel staff. Priscilla and Matt welcomed their first child, Autumn Joy, in September 2011. They also enjoy playing with their dog, Cinnamon, a Boxer-German Shepherd mix.

Tyler Hottovy
Tyler

Tyler Hottovy, Music Director

Tyler graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in Music Education. Following graduation, Tyler taught music for a year in Houston, Texas and is currently in his second year at Norris Elementary in the Millard Public Schools. In addition to his work here at Immanuel and at Norris, Tyler assists with the Millard South Marching Band and enjoys giving trombone lessons to students of all ages. He can be seen performing with the Lincoln Municipal Band and the Monday Night Big Band. “Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises!” Psalm 98:4

Amy Woods
Amy

Amy Woods, Youth Director

Amy Woods began as our part time Youth Director in February of 2009. She is a native of Vermillion, South Dakota, and attended Iowa State University. She moved to Omaha from Sioux Falls in 2000 and assumed the position of store manager at New York and Company. Following her marriage to Joel Woods in 2002, she became a member of Immanuel where she has been actively involved in Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Adult Choir, the 20’s and 30’s Group, and the Fellowship Board. Amy and Joel are the parents of Colin, Anna, and Madeline.
