Gail Madson, Interim PastorPastor Gail was born in Atlanta, Georgia and lived in Oregon, Minnesota, and New York as a child. She graduated from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis with a degree in history. Working in the insurance industry moved her to California, Louisiana, and Kansas. So if you ask where she is from, you might get a laugh. She finally listened as God persistently guided her toward His ministry and she went to the Saint Paul School of Theology in Kansas City. She interned in Austin, Minnesota and did her Luther year at Luther Seminary in St Paul, Minnesota. She was ordained in 1994 and served churches in Minnesota and Nebraska. Pastor Gail comes to us from serving as Interim Pastor at Calvary Lutheran, Scottsbluff, Nebraska for 18 months. She has family in Florida, Texas, Washington, Delaware, Georgia, and North Carolina. There are many nieces and nephews and you might hear them mentioned in her sermons. Pastor Gail will be doing ministry with us beginning in March of 2010 while helping to guide Immanuel through the process of calling a full time pastor. Judy Woods, SecretaryJudy Woods is our church secretary at Immanuel. She is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Omaha and began working here in June of 1993. She and her husband, Jerry, and their three sons, Brian, Monte, and Joel have been members of Immanuel since 1977. Joel and his wife, Amy, who became a member of Immanuel in 2003, and their children; Colin, Anna, and Madeline, together with the most recently added grandchild, Ava, daughter of Brian and his wife, Jacquie, complete the Woods' family. Priscilla Fuger, Director of Christian EducationPriscilla Fuger and her husband Matt began attending Immanuel in August 2009, after moving to Nebraska from Ramstein Air Base, Germany. She is originally from Dixon, Illinois and has a Bachelor of Science in Technical Communication from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. While at Ramstein, she served as the Religious Education Coordinator and co-taught confirmation with Matt. Since joining Immanuel, Priscilla has been involved with the 20s and 30s group, co-directed Vacation Bible School, served as an editor for the Ministry Site Profile team, and sings with the Praise Team. She and Matt enjoy playing with their Boxer-German Shepherd puppy, Cinnamon. [Top] |
Tyler Hottovy, Music DirectorTyler graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in Music Education. Following graduation, Tyler taught music for a year in Houston, Texas and is currently in his second year at Norris Elementary in the Millard Public Schools. In addition to his work here at Immanuel and at Norris, Tyler assists with the Millard South Marching Band and enjoys giving trombone lessons to students of all ages. He can be seen performing with the Lincoln Municipal Band and the Monday Night Big Band. “Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises!” Psalm 98:4 [Top] |
Amy Woods, Youth DirectorAmy Woods began as our part time Youth Director in February of 2009. She is a native of Vermillion, South Dakota, and attended Iowa State University. She moved to Omaha from Sioux Falls in 2000 and assumed the position of store manager at New York and Company. Following her marriage to Joel Woods in 2002, she became a member of Immanuel where she has been actively involved in Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Adult Choir, the 20’s and 30’s Group, and the Fellowship Board.
