Terry Nielsen, PastorPastor Terry Nielsen was called to Immanuel in February of 1994. He is a graduate of Midland Lutheran College in Fremont, Nebraska and Wartburg Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa. He served his internship at Concordia Lutheran Church in Phoenix, Arizona, and his first parish at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in rural DeWitt, Nebraska. Every other year he attends the Luther Academy of the Rockies in Colorado and, since coming to Immanuel, has attended the Stephen Ministry Leader’s Training. He and his wife, Sandy, are the parents of two children, Megan and Erik. One of his highest priorities in ministry is an emphasis upon partnership in the gospel and he works with Immanuel’s members to seek to respond to the love shown to us by God through Jesus Christ and to be servants in the setting in which we have been placed. Judy Woods, SecretaryJudy Woods is our church secretary at Immanuel. She is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Omaha and began working here in June of 1993. She and her husband, Jerry, and their three sons, Brian, Monte, and Joel have been members of Immanuel since 1977. Joel's wife, Amy, joined in 2003 and their children; Colin, born in 2003 and Anna, born in 2005, completes the family. [Top] |
Andy Gregory, Youth DirectorAndy joined the staff at Immanuel in August of 2003. He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Kearney. For four summers he worked with Nebraska Lutheran Outdoor Ministries at Carol Joy Holling Camp as a counselor and Site Manager. It was through his experiences at camp that he was drawn to youth ministry. He enjoys spending time with the youth, helping them to grow in their faith in God. He hopes to create a warm, welcoming, caring environment for the youth of Immanuel to come to as well as aid parents in faith growth of their children. Andy, along with his wife, Brooke, enjoys spending time outside camping and hiking as well as spending time with friends and family. [Top] |
Tyler Hottovy, Music DirectorTyler graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in Music Education. Following graduation, Tyler taught music for a year in Houston, Texas and is currently in his second year at Norris Elementary in the Millard Public Schools. In addition to his work here at Immanuel and at Norris, Tyler assists with the Millard South Marching Band and enjoys giving trombone lessons to students of all ages. He can be seen performing with the Lincoln Municipal Band and the Monday Night Big Band. “Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises!” Psalm 98:4 [Top] |
